In case you are lost in terms of what nail design to adorn or you are just spoilt for the varied choices out there then today is your lucky day as you will get to learn how to polish your nails and decorate them the irregular zig zag way.
However, even with the bright colors available all over the world for your nails, you must also know how to coordinate them well with your taste and likes and even your skin and nail tone. This is important as even the best colors can look weird and backfire if not properly mixed with the best skin tone. Hence, there is a lot to go by when it comes to nail art. The colors of the nail polishes used here are glittery grey and black, but you can use whichever suits you.
You will need: a colorless nail polish, a glittery grey one and black nail polish, some stickers cutted in the shapes you need (see picture below) and, of course, a nail file.
Directions:
The first step is to make sure your nails are clean and filed, preferably filed into an oval shape as the square-shaped ones won’t go well with the leaf-like decorations I am about to show you.
The next step is to apply a colorless nail polish to the nails so as to protect the base of your nails from any discoloration from the colored nail polish.
Once the base is dry you can then proceed to applying the basic nail polish color which in this case is glittery grey. Make sure it dries before doing or applying anything else on it so as to avoid any smudges that might ruin the whole application.
You can then proceed to sticking the sticker on the colored glittery grey nails then apply black nail polish.
The next step is to wait for the nail polished-decoration to dry and then proceed to lock it with a thick layer of top coat. Remember to remove the sticker so that the decoration is avidly shown that is, after the whole nail has dried. You will love the final outcome. Enjoy!

Rules are often made so that they be broken, after all what is the fun in being restricted to what everyone else is doing. When it comes to makeup there should not be any rule as everyone has different tastes and formulas for makeup application and if there is then it is time you learn how to break them starting with these six everyday easy ones.
1. Don’t go bold on both the eyes and the lips.
First, you should not go bold on both the eyes and the lips and that is often a dangerous and bold move. Making bold statement is what makes us know ourselves better and even help us embrace our fears altogether. For instance, the belief is that a smokey eye makeup does not always look good with fire engine red mouth. But who cares if you want it then make it happen for you, the worst that can happen is that you will end up turning heads everywhere you go, even if it is at night. But you can always go for the hot pink lips makeup style with some ultra-thick, winged to the sky liner on the eyes with some false lashes.You will likely pull a fun and flirty look. Although the eyes won’t be overly dark and mysterious, they will still be bold, striking and at the same time give you an overall dramatic look.
2. You should let mascara dry in between coats
You can easily break this mascara rule which states that you should let mascara dry in between coats. Although this vary from person to person, it is often easier to work with mascara when it is still wet. You can opt to apply it by working it from the outside towards the inside. This involves applying the mascara first to the outer corner lashes, working inwards and then going back to the outer corner for the second coat. It is so easy and makes for a great overall lash look as you can also use the mascara wand to shape and define the lashes while the mascara is still pliable and wet. It all depends on the formula. But be warned when applying wet mascara over a dry layer as it is often likely to drag dried bits through to the ends thus creating clumps and spider legs.
3. Using makeup products for the purpose intended
There is also a rule that one should only use the products for the purpose intended that is, if is a cream blush let it be that and do not use it as lipstick. But for some eyeliner brushes are paintbrushes and cheek highlighters are eyeshadows. It is simply being economical in the makeup department without having to spend more on the basic makeup items that can be used for more than one purpose. The basic trick here is to read the labels as many products are safe to use on the eyes, cheeks and lips, you just have to be creative and think outside the box. You are bound to save a lot of money.
4. Foundation should always match the neck
Another rule worth breaking is the idea that foundation should always match the neck even though the neck skin tone is never the same as the face skin tone. As much as you might want to make it work so that you achieve that flawless overall look on you face and neck remember that the only other part of your body likely to receive the same amount of sunlight as your face is your chest and not your neck which is mostly covered by your face. Thus the common sense thing to do is just make sure your face and chest blend more than your face and neck then it will make it easier for you to then blend foundation down the neck a little to adjust and make up the difference.
5. Primer always comes before foundation
The fifth rule to the exception says that primer always comes before foundation. But rest assured that primers are a new thing in the makeup department and that makes them easily avoidable when not in need. After all, you never needed it a few years ago. It is one of those makeups that you reach for on those muggy days or special occasions. It is not a must you have it on every day. But for those with dry skin the perfect moisturizer is one of the best primers that you can use. On the same note you can use it to fill in pores or fine lines at times. Altogether is not a necessary requirement.
6. Applying foundation after concealer
And lastly, this rule to the eye is applying the concealer then the foundation. Well, I think this depends on how one wants the overall look to appear. You can always opt to apply the foundation first to see how much coverage it offers then spot conceal any areas that still have redness or darkness showing through. Moreover, if you want the under eye area to remain bright then you will have to leave the foundation as it is without even having to apply a concealer. After all, the only thing that you are likely to do under foundation is to color correctly if necessary. Concealing is not a requirement most times.

Great comfy shoes can be hard to get especially if you do not know how to choose. On the other hand you can get great shoes, but when it comes to keeping them in tip-top shape for comfy issues it becomes hard.
1. For instance, if you want to stretch your boot shafts and keep them in an upright shape then you can use newspaper rolls and leather stretch sprays which are bound to loosen the fiber of the leather. This especially works for boots with no zippers.
2. You can also use water-filled freezer bags to stretch shoes. You only have to place the shoes in a freezer overnight and remove them out in the morning to break the ice. You can repeat the process once or twice just to give the shoes an extra stretch. Just don’t let the water get in the shoes.
3. Another idea is wearing socks and slipping in your shoes then using a blow dryer on the tight part while wiggling your feet in the process. This way you will stretch tight shoes. Just remember to keep them on while they cool then remove the socks and test them, you can always repeat the process if they are still tight.
4. However, when it comes to tightening shoes, especially shoe straps you can always opt for moleskin, just cut them in the shapes you want and place them on the shoe or put it on your feet like a Band-Aid.
5. You can also repair the heel of athletic shoe by gluing and stitching a hard cloth on the worn-out part. Just make sure the fabric is not too thin or too thick, use mostly denim fabrics as they are durable and always complement many shoe types.
6. Slippery shoes can also be fixed with perfectly shaped inner soles just make sure they are not too thick that they alter the shape of the shoe and cut them in a shoe-shape fashion not a foot-shape one. On the same note you can put heel grips on the edge of a heel to prevent your heel from slipping out.
7. On the other hand if the closed toe high heels are too tight you can always wear them with your third and fourth toe taped together to avoid any blisters on them. This way you will prevent pain in the ball of your foot because the medical tape relieves strain on the nerve between these two toes.
8. Consequently, you can waterproof your shoes with bees wax, especially the canvas ones. Just rub the bees wax all over it to stiffen it a little bit then use a blow dryer to melt the wax and that’s it. You can run a little test by pouring water on them before you set out.
9. But when it comes to smelly shoes always use dry tea bags to remove the odor as they absorb the smell and give your shoes and feet a refreshing smell. It is a cheap and convenient method. Likewise, you can always soak your blistered feet in green tea, to relieve them of any pain and fatigue. Green tea has anti-inflammatory properties which will tremendously reduce the swelling on your feet and also offer you some mind and body relief. See also: Another Idea to Eliminate Shoe Odor.
10. However, if you do not feel like soaking your feet in green tea after that long day then you can always go the other way of preventive measure by applying some clear gel deodorant, baby powder or petroleum jelly on the heel and sides of your feet to prevent blisters, decrease friction and increase your chances of walking or dancing all day. The deodorant will act as a barrier thus protecting the skin from friction.
11. As for a quick fix on slippery soles you can always sandpaper the soles of unworn shoes to create better traction and thus achieve less falling down and slipping. Moreover, when it comes to heels you can always fix worn-down heels with instant heel caps and say goodbye to rolled ankles.
12. On the same note, your soles can also get a little saving with gel arch inserts hence no pain with most gains. Likewise, you can always replace those old insoles with new ones. Just make sure you make the cut precisely and the same size as the one you are replacing it with for that extra comfort.
13. As for other preventive measures when it comes to buying heels, it is always advisable to check the possibility of them hurting your feet before you decide buy them. This can be done by paying attention to the heel cup as manufactures always put a stiffening agent in the heel area. The stiff nature of the counter makes it a prime spot for friction and blisters. Therefore, opt for shoes made of real leather or suede as they are more pliable than synthetic materials.
14. Likewise, you can always do the thumb test as there should be a thumb’s width from the front of the inside of your shoe to the end of your longest toe. Hence leaving this bit of space is crucial for your foot to have some wiggle room when you walk. But if the shoes are small they will definitely hurt as you walk on them.
15. On the same note you can always look for more comfortable styles of heels like platforms, wedges, chunky heels, low heels, and heels with straps or buckles which often offer more support and are easier to walk in.
