A dream has woken up to concrete reality in the Costa Rican province of Guanacaste. Worthy of poetry, architect Victor Cañas has designed a house atop a cliff, which offers dramatic views of the Pacific Ocean and the surround lush green coastline.
All of 4500 square feet, the house embodies a subtle palette of cool greys, browns and amber, spiced with oranges and reds which go with the natural green surroundings and ethereal blues of the ocean to give a stunning visual treat.
Featuring multiple terraces, the house has been designed with ample outdoor areas to enjoy the tranquil environs. The side of the house has enormous floor to ceiling windows, for unobstructed views to the serenity all around. Pools of water here and there inside the house, with concrete slabs to walk on surely makes for an interesting idea!

You need:
– nail polish in white, red and navy blue colours;
– dotting tool;
– thin brush;
– toothpick;
– top coat.
Let's go:
1. Paint all your nails with white nail point, leaving out nail on the ring finger.
2. Using the thin brush, paint thin horizontal stripes with red nail polish on the white base.
3. Now paint the nail on the ring finger with navy blue nail polish.
4. Use the dotting tool to place a large white circle in the middle of the navy blue coat.
5. With the aid of the thin brush and toothpicks, create the shape of an anchor.
6. Cover all of your nails with a top coat and let it dry.
That is it! Now, doesn't that look cute? A complement to you and your outfit, this nautical styled nail art is easy and chic!

We know what an awesome pair of shoes can do to pep up an outfit. And the most versatile and chic style is boots! Evergreen and classic, boots go with jeans, skirts, dresses, trousers; yeah, you name it and boots rock every outfit! Almost everyone owns a pair, but you want to have a pair that is unique yet fashionable right? So here is an amazing idea for turning a regular pair of boots into a masterpiece!
You need: a pair of boots, yarn, crochet needle, E6000 glue.
Let's get started:
1. Use different colour yarns to build crochet chains. Ensure that the chains are tight.
2. You need to start from the toe of the boot.
3. Glue on the yarn chain in a zigzag manner. As you run out of chain, make some more and continue the zigzag gluing pattern on the boot.
4. Go on in this manner to the area from the lace loops begin.
5. Now move to the side of the boot.
6. Cover all areas properly, such as both sides of the zipper, sides of the laces etc.
7. Reach over to the other side of the boot and continue the gluing.
Once you have completely covered the entire surface area of the boot, you will be looking at your very own unique pair of boots that is sure to be the pride of your wardrobe!

Of course you know what to wear and what suits you best! But unfortunately, there might be times when you miscalculate the impact of your ensemble. You may have a gorgeous piece each of a blouse, a skirt, shoes and accessories, but when put together, it might be too over-the-top, or may even turn out looking uncouth!
Keeping the following tips in mind might rescue you from such situations, so read on!
1. Too much skin – Mystery is what attracts people, so reserve some skin for this effect! Wearing a cleavage revealing dress, which also is backless, short and sleeveless might look distasteful, to say the least. The golden rules of fashion suggest attracting attention to the revealed parts by covering up all the rest!
2. The Oversized Trend – Come winter, and we are all dolled up in those leggings, boots and oversized sweaters and coats. But hey, always remember that 'oversized' clothing is actually designed to fit loosely on your size. It isn't like you could strut about wearing your Dad's sweaters! And of course, don't go overboard with the oversizing. For eg: oversized jeans AND top together will make you seem like you are swimming in those clothes!
3. Denim Attack – We love our denims like second skin. And we got it in jeans and in shirts. But trust us, pairing the two can look like an un-chic uniform. Maybe you could try a light denim shirt with dark denim pants or vice-versa, but avoid going true blue all the way!
4. The Size Factor – Squeezing into smaller sizes or, wearing clothes way too baggy for you are not a good idea for your self esteem at all! The former accentuates your flaws and the latter, well, doesn't show you at all. Choose clothing of your size that flatters your good points, and we know we have many!
5. Bling Party – A little bit of bling adds class to any outfit, but overdoing it only makes you look like a Christmas tree! Keep it understated, if wearing with printed clothing. Opt for bold, chunky pieces with silhouetted monotone dresses. Scarves and stoles are also a great idea!
6. The Socks and Sandals Trend – This is one is a really tricky trend! And you could go horribly wrong with this one if you don't exactly know what you are doing! Pairing the two is an art, and doesn't always work. If you really want to adopt this style, avoid socks with contrasted toes and make sure there is enough 'skin gap' between the 'ending line' of your outfit and the start of the 'sock-line'.
7. Animal Prints – A little bit of animal print in your outfit can look amazingly attractive. But here again, understatement is the key. Coupling together animal printed trousers, tops, bags, belts, scarves, boots are a definite no-no and scream out bad taste in clothes.
8. Mixed Prints – This look can be quite a jumble and a bit of a puzzle. If the mix of prints for your selected outfit goes wrong, people will simply steer clear of you, wondering what in the world you are up to! But if you have made up your mind to mix your prints, some fool proof combinations are stripes and florals, and anything goes with those cute polka dots. So give these a try!

Fashion trends come and go. Some are serene, some scream loud, and some remain understated. But some are purely outrageous! Here we list down some of the most bizarre trends that have caught the fancy of people all across the globe. You needn't follow them, but then it's always good to know!
1. Pajamas in the day: A style best reserved for the comforts of your home, you shouldn't be caught dead in them while walking down the street! Breezy, loose and comfortable, pajamas are adored by all of us, and are staple home wear when you just want to lounge around. But maybe you should take just a bit more effort when dressing up for the outdoors?
2. Socks and Sandals: A style that should be attempted with utmost care, the socks and sandals combo has had many miserable fails! A trend that can look both outrageous, yet soaked with style, you have to careful with the type of socks that you want to pair with your sandals!
3. Dyed Armpit Hair: A trend that is making the world go 'Ugh' and 'Wow' at the same time, the recognition here is being received not because of beautiful blue/pink/yellow armpit hair, but because of the alleged feminist message it carries. But all said and done, unless you want to join the movement, pink hair showing from the arm holes gives us the creeps!
4. Fedora: An accessory that can definitely spunk up your look, over-doing it, or wearing it with the wrong attire can really beckon the fashion police to arrest you! The fedora also is choosy with regard to the kind of faces it can look great with. So try one at the store, and look yourself up well before stepping out in these!
5. Hoof Footwear: When God has given you feet, why would you want to strut around in something that actually looks like a hoof?! Creativity has no limits, but you can at least pose some on your style!
6. Fast food fashion: This fashion trend can only make sense if you really want to look like a burger walking down the street! Or well, if that fast food chain really paid you bagfuls to promote their brand. The trend really has the potency to catch the attention of all passers-by, but definitely not in the way you'd like!
7. Full Lips: Well, here what we really want to point out are huge lips, that girls tend to make even huger, in order to look attractive. But there is definitely a borderline beyond which they can appear vulgar. Lips that are too large, and boldly done up are not attractive at all, ask the guys!
8. Colour Pop Fur: Well hey, there goes that Christmas tree down the street- That is not the kind of compliment we are fishing for when adorned with our multi-coloured expensive fur coat! These look wonderful at photo-shoots, no doubting that, but as you get off your car and enter that grocery store, you are bound to be a jarring eye-sore! Leave this trend for the celebs!
9. The Handlebar Moustache : Beard and moustache trends are rocking the fashion scene across the globe. This particular moustache, that literally resembles a cycle handlebar, is a rage with young men. A quirky style, full of fun, this needs deliberation before inculcating the look in your daily routine. The moustache definitely looks out of place, other than at a party or a weekend trip!
10. Leggings all the way: Leggings are a great fashion item, but they are meant to be worn just as leggings, probably under cute long tees or under dresses etc. But choosing to wear these instead of jeans or trousers is a total blunder! Imagine wearing a shirt with leggings, this makes for a look that only be categorized as being totally unchic!
