Braids are often deemed as the simplest, easiest hairstyle practically anyone can rock. This includes a pull through braid. While you may not be familiar with the name, I believe most of us have at least seen a pull through braid once in our lives. That being said, it's not always easy to recreate the hairstyle.
But there's no need to panic! Now that everything's up online, you can easily find tutorials on different hairstyles, including the pull through braid. Blogger Grace via her website, Grace&Braver, has generously provided us with a special pull through braid tutorial. Grace's long and thick blonde hair is definitely a determining factor of the end result, but as long as you follow her step-by-step guidelines, you can also rock the pull through braid hairstyle.
To begin, you'd need a large clip and a few clear elastic bands. Basically, to create the hairstyle, there is no complicated technique whatsoever. It's just like how you normally braid your hair. However, since you're using all of your hair, the final look would look chunky and your hair would look much thicker.

The term #PolishMountain Challenge may not be entirely foreign to your ears, especially since Youtuber Simply Nailogical uploaded a video titled 100+ Coats of Nail Polish. And since then, there have been hundreds and possibly even more videos inspired by Simply Nailogical's less than logical challenge trend. There have been 100 coats of mascara, 100 coats of foundation, 100 coats of hairspray; basically 100 coats of anything-that-someone-else-hasnt-tried.
And really, though it can be hard to understand why would anyone attempt making such videos, Youtuber HelloMaphie answered our curiosity, "how many coats are in 1 nail polish bottle?" If you haven't think of that question, well, now you do. And if you have, just like me, it's strangely refreshing to find out the answer.
Mafer Cantú, the Mexican beauty behind the channel uploaded an 8 minute 15 seconds video of her layering her nails using a whole bottle of nail polish on her fingers. Let me sum up the video for you; it's basically just her painting her nails layer by layer.
By the end of the video, we can get the answer to the question. To empty a 14ml bottle of nail polish, you'd have to layer 5 fingers 147 times. Let that sink in. One hundred forty seven. That's 735 coats if you're doing it on one finger. Now, your nail polish purchase doesn't really sound like a waste of money, isn't it?
While I'm personally grateful toward Mafer for answering a question that has been lying in the back of my curious mind, it's safe to say that the trend is hardly understandable. Though it has been entertaining, let's hope no more Youtuber would spend hours and bottles of nail polish for the sake of the trend. After all, we have found the answer our wandering minds might have think of.

Nothing is more fun than rocking different nail colors from time to time, but the long, gruesome process may steal the fun away. If you're a nail art addict, but a busy one, this DIY spray-on nail polish is possibly the thing you're looking for.
And it's time, really! We have hovering boards, your phone can speak, and cars that work on water; there's got to be a way to do your nails faster, and in a more efficient way. However, applying it may not be as easy as you think.
The number one enemy to nail polishing activity would be the excess nail polish. And this is also the case even with spray-on nail polish! Whether it's self –made or store-bought, spray-on nail polish tends to run out pretty quickly because you need to spray it all over your fingertips. This can only mean one thing: you need to spend more on your nail polish!
But this is where things get interesting. Instead of spending $30+ on spray-on nail polish (that, mind you, would be gone just in few usages), you can spend not more than $5 on this DIY spray-on nail polish. Now, how's that!
The trick is, swap your store-bought spray-on nail polish for a temporary hair color spray. Now, before you frown in confusion, let me assure you of this fact: they're safe, and yes, it works.
To begin, you'd need to apply base coat on your nails to protect them. The next step, spray the temporary hair color spray on your nails (remember to do it on top of a piece of paper to avoid any mess), just like how you'd apply spray-on nail polish. Wait until your nails are completely dry. Once they're all dried, apply clear top coating, so the color would last. Finally, wash your fingers in a basin of water and soap to get rid of the excess nail polish.
Ta-da! You're done! And just like that, you can create wonderful, easy nails without emptying your wallet.

Having glamorous body curves is a gift for some women; and a far dream for many others. While you can always work out or visit a plastic surgery clinic to add curves to your body, there are ways to do so just by dressing the right way. Just by applying some of these "tricks", you can make your body appear to be more voluminous without having to spend hours on the gym or bucks on a plastic surgeon. They're easy, hassle-free, and won't empty your wallet. To see how, check the methods below.
Amplify your bust line
A trick to a more curvaceous body line is a more prominent bust line. To do so, there are several ways you can try.
a. Use proper underwear
Bras with pads in the cups and solid underwire is a must. Not only they provide needed support for your breasts, they can also add you volume. Measure your bras properly before purchasing them to avoid wardrobe malfunction.
b. Put on jewelries
A striking necklace, an embellished neckline, or a statement necklace can do the trick. They can divert people's attention from your less-curvy lower body part and create the illusion of fullness.
c. Show some skin
While this may not work for some people, plunging neckline is a huge help if you want to appear busty. Visit a tailor if you'd like to avoid any unintentional exposure, or wear a camisole under your top.
d. Choose clothes with decorated bust area
Another alternative is to use clothes with ruffles, fringes, or other embellishments around the bust area. Just like the jewelries, such clothes can create volume. However, be careful so that you don't overdo it and ended up looking unnatural.
Widen your hip
Just like the bust area, there are ways you can create the look of a wider hip line.
a. Choose the right skirt
Choosing the right skirt is vital. For example, go for an A-line skirt or full skirt. The retro skirt can add volume to the hips and make you look fashionable. Also, you can put on pencil skirt with body-con fabric. However, be careful so that your pencil skirt sit on your natural waist, for a more appealing look.
b. Wear a belt
Wide belt can minimize your waist and make your hip appear larger. However, if you're on the thin side, opt for a slim belt instead.
c. Go high-waist
High-waisted pants or skirts can effectively make your waist appear smaller and your legs longer. Thus, you can look tall and curvy at the same time.
Emphasize your backside
Making your backside appear more filled is also a good way to appear more curvaceous, especially when seen from the side. To do so, you can buy padded panties, go for jeans with large pockets, or find pants that fit snugly. Our personal favorite so far is the padded panties; they go extremely well with tight-fitting dresses!
Perfect your overall proportion
To do so, there are at least four ways.
a. Don't layer
Layered outfits make you look boxy and less feminine. Instead, go for belted coats, and just wear what's needed to stay warm.
b. Choose the right dress
Certain patterns such as colorful print or vertical stripes are preferred. If you're still unsure of what to buy, you can search up "illusion dresses" online; there are ample of examples of dresses that can instantly boost your body curves. Also, purchase a wrap dress made with quality material for a flattering look.
c. Heels up
For a leaner appearance, put on a pair of heels. Beige-colored heels are especially better, since they make your legs appear much longer.
d. Consult a tailor
This might be the best tip so far. Tailors can help you find a fitting outfit that complements your body type and make you appear more curvy. They're also experienced when it comes to choosing garments, so make sure you consult with them.

Valentine's Day, the day of love and ~romance~ is just around the corner. Now, while some are getting ready for chocolate, date nights, and fancy dinner, some of us have no other option to spend what's known as the Single Valentine's Day. To be frank, it simply refers to Valentine's Day spent alone a.k.a without your partner.
But it doesn't mean you have to spend it this year all gloomy and sad. The good news is, there are some tips that can help you get through this rather bittersweet day of the year. Check the list below.
1. Change your mindset
Realize that being alone during Valentine's Day doesn't mean the world is over for you. In fact, it has always been a commercial day that has been going for decades. Plus, you're not alone! Worldwide, there are millions of singles who spend the day alone, so relax.
2. Stop complaining
We understand you might feel terrible being alone on such a lovey-dovey day. But, really, complaining does nothing to fix the situation and you'll end up feeling worse. Complaining to friends and family members can make them feel bad, so you're helping no one, really. If necessary, stay away from your social media and TV, and do something to take your mind off it.
3. Treat yourself
A spa, massage, or binging on your favorite foods for a day can help you feel better; much better than complaining and feeling low. Entertain yourself; indulge yourself on things you like but can't experience on most days.
4. Clean and organize your space
Whether it's your room, apartment, or house; some cleaning can help you to feel better. Feeling better equals less negative thought; which results to a happier day!
5. Bond with other singles
You'd be surprised to know that there are so so many other singles out there feeling the same way as you do, and would be happy to spend time with you during Valentine's Day. Check your social media accounts several days before the D-day to see if there's any group meeting or better, party, thrown. If you cringe at the thought of spending time with strangers, hit up your friends, family members, or basically anyone you know that wouldn't mind spending time and become your object of affection of the day. But, be careful…
6. Avoid braggers and couples
They are your worst enemies! While some of your friends may unintentionally over-share their love life with you, it can hurt twice as much when it's Valentine's Day. Choose your companion wisely during Valentines, but spend time with them afterwards.
7. Get ready for next year's Valentine's Day
If you feel like dating, or just seeing someone, try to put on effort on dating and meeting people. Blind dates, dating apps, as well as self-improvement can do much. If your friends offer to introduce you to someone they know, don't be so quick to turn them down. You never know, probably the love of your life is just around the corner!
8. Be satisfied
However, if your circumstances don't allow you to date, or you choose not to; there's nothing wrong with you. Your self-worth isn't define by the existence of a partner; or the lack of thereof. There's no need to rush! Stay happy regardless of your relationship status.

There's no better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than baking some homemade goods. Whether it's for your partner, family members, friends, or even yourself, you can try the making your own Valentine's Day sugar cookies.
There are tons of sugar cookies recipes online, and it's a good thing! For example, you can opt for these simple soft cut-out sugar cookies; with lots of icing and sprinkles! The heart-shaped cookies are also easy to make, and the tender texture would be perfect even for your grandparents.
Most sugar cookies don't require complicated ingredients. They mostly use unsalted butter, granulated sugar, egg(s), vanilla (or lemon/almond) extract, flour, baking powder, and salt. Icing (made of sugar, milk, corn syrup and extracts) and sprinkles are also a must, but if you want to keep it less sweet, you can skip those two.
Making sugar cookies in general is not difficult, since no complicated baking technique is required. With some mixing, whisking, and dough-cutting-followed with baking, you can make "plain" sugar cookies in no time.
Decorating Valentine's Day cookies, however, is slightly more difficult. Why? Basically because you'd have to be as creative as possible. For example, you can try making these moustache and puckered lips decorated cookies, or you can also use lip-shaped cookie cutter to create bold, red cookies. You can also decorate with smiley faces or polka dots. Some experienced baker created gumball machine cookies, heart-filled jar cookies, Mickey Mouse-shaped cookies, or even heart-shaped cookies with various characters decoration.
The heart-shaped cookie cutter can also be used to create fluffy dog cookies and strawberry-shaped cookies, or you can choose to simply scribble "love" on top. The marbled ones require more complicated technique, but they're definitely worth the effort!
You can also use edible food marker (apparently yes, it's a thing) to literally write on your cookies. Blogger Missy from Pink Pistachio also made these adorable love letter cookies, and they're super easy to make.

I think it's pretty safe to say that time flies when you're occupied. The first month of the New Year is now dwindling away and soon, it's time for you to start searching for Valentine beauty ideas. However, why not start early? Below, we have compiled several Valentine beauty ideas you can try out on your Valentine date night.
1. Max-up your lashes
It doesn't really mean you'll need to spend hours sticking on false lashes! Applying mascara correctly is the key to perfect lashes. First, you need to curl your lashes by pinching them at the roots until the other end. Next, before pulling the mascara wand out, wiggle it back and forth so you don't have to repeatedly dip it. Then, apply three coats of mascara and while it's wet, comb through your lashes with a clean, dry spooley brush.
2. Smoothen your lips
The steps to a much better-looking lips can be summed up with 3 letters, EMA. No, it's not European Music Awards; EMA stands for Exfoliate, Moisturize, and Add color. First, to exfoliate, apply lip balm which contains alphy hydroxy acid (EI Solutions Lip Refine is recommended). To moisturize, use creamy balm containing petrolatum, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, dimethicone or ceramides and avoid waxy and scented products. Finally, to add color, apply tinted balm.
3. Peel, peel, and peel
Your complexion is extremely important, and that's why you need to regularly exfoliate using peeling products. Within a month, your complexion can improve significantly, but remember! Different kinds of skin require different products and frequencies.
4. Fragrance up
Nothing piques interest better than scent. Apply fragrance on your wrists, inner elbows, temples, neck hollow, behind the ears, and behind the knees. Don't overdo it, and don't reapply even if you feel the need to. The key? Two drops of perfume, three sprays of eau de parfum, and four hits of eau de toilette. Not more.
5. Shave
Body hair is nothing you need to be embarrassed about, but if you want to look clean and neat make sure you know how to shave the right way. Say bye-bye to your soap, and instead, pick up some shaving cream, hair conditioner or a creamy body wash. Turn on warm water when you shower and let it wet the hair in order to soften it. When shaving your legs, start from your ankle and go upward. Rinse the razor after each stroke. For underarms, shave in different angles and rinse when needed. For the bikini line, angle the razor in the direction of hair growth and shave gently.
6. Blush and flush
The easiest tip on how to find the perfect shade of blusher? Pinch your cheek and match the blush to the color you get. Different shades can look different on different skin tones, so what's best for your friend may not be the one for you.
7. Use body oil
For a change of atmosphere, ditch your body lotion and splurge on body oils.
8. Go light
Date night doesn't mean you need to overdo your makeup. Less foundation is much better, and as a makeup artist says, a creamy formula with light-reflecting particles would do. The trick is to apply it with your hand, so it can melt.
9. Wax
Bikini wax isn't for everyone, but if you decide that's for you; three things you need to keep in mind. First, your hair has to be long enough; meaning you need to book your appointment every two to four weeks. Second, exfoliate with a body wash containing salicylic acid before you go but lotion is a big no-no. Third, take preventive steps! If the pain is unbearable, oral medication may be needed. Talk to your waxer if you feel uncomfortable or pained. Afterwards, apply aloe lotion or hydrocortisone cream.
10. Care for your cleavage
Use anti-aging cream on your chest and cleavage twice a week. Illuminating body powder can help you look glamorous if you're rocking some skin-baring outfit.
