It's over! You can't believe your big day passed away just like that. Months of planning, all the stress and the budgeting – your wedding is over and you're left wondering what to do with your bridal gown after the big event. It's a concern that you never thought of until the whole wedding ordeal is over, but now that it is, you can't help but stare at the dress, lying unused – space-hogging and seems to serve as a constant reminder of how much you spent on it only to wear it once.

Obviously, wedding dresses aren't meant to be worn on daily basis. And while there are much more simple wedding dresses, sometimes even they can't be worn to just any occasion. Does it mean that you're now stuck with a dress you can't get rid of, yet can't wear?
Actually, no. There are plenty of things you can do with your wedding dress. Here are just some ideas you might want to consider.
1. Keep it
If you're not married yet, you might find this idea rather baffling. But believe it or not, those who have worn a wedding dress often admit that parting with their wedding dress is harder than they thought it'd be. You can always preserve your gown as a keepsake for your daughter or daughter-in-law. But obviously, you would need to clean the dress and find out the best way to store your dress without ruining it. A cool, dry, dark place with moderate temperature is ideal.
Preserving your dress also doesn't mean that it has to sit in a box, locked away somewhere in the attic. Take your dress out occasionally, for example when it's your wedding anniversary.
2. Donate it
Yes, you can donate your wedding dress! Many women actually do so in order to raise fund for different causes, support women who can't afford a wedding dress, or just so that it can be used for different purposes.
3. Trash it
Uhm, no. It doesn't mean you have to throw it away. Trashing a gown means that you simply wear it without worrying about what would it look like afterward. And yes, it's a lot of fun! Some people paint on them, some wear it to the beach, and some others had snowball fight in it. Do your thing and have as much fun as possible!
4. Upcycle it
Last but not the least, make something new using your wedding dress. This is obviously not something that can be done by everyone, but if you're blessed with sewing skills, why don't you try it out? White fabric can be used to make almost anything, so get creative!
